Waddling into Pottery

Goose and Swan Pottery - or GASP Studio - is a Home Pottery Studio that myself, Carly (the Swan in this birdbrained pair) and my husband, Paul (the Goose) established in January 2024.

Back in December 2021 - my silly goose of a husband, Paul, survived a very serious stroke-which left him with a language disability called Expressive Aphasia. 8 months into his recovery, he bravely enrolled in a Beginner Pottery Wheel Throwing Class so that he could exercise his mind and keep his body busy while out of work.

What hatched Goose & Swan Pottery was when Paul had a significant seizure a few years after his stroke. We decided to bring the pottery studio into our home. Needless to say, we are absolutely 'winging' it!

We have caught the pottery bug - well rather, we've snagged the scrap of stale bread in the lake of our crazy lives (...leaning into the bird puns here friends!) and this website will serve as our ceramic portfolio as beginner potters. Eventually, this is also where you will find more information on how to purchase some of our hand-thrown pieces! (when they are ready to leave the nest of course).
